请教dealer怎么能搞到车牌？

昨天刚签了合同，买了部新车，保险还没办。很奇怪的是，dealer竟然已经用我的名字申请了车牌。
通常不是没办保险不能申请车牌吗？那他怎么拿到的？

还有一个问题，我的驾照是跨省转过来的，相应的转成了G2，我在别的省已经开了快五年了
因为保险要转过来，所以问了一下保险公司，竟然要5000多一年，太厉害了，大家的保险都有多少呢？

我也不是很懂，但是应该是你不能提车可以申请车牌吧。不太确定。。

it depends on a lot of aspect such as age, car, maker, model, anti-thief alarm, area, parking, and insurer.  $5000 premium is not regular.  Do you have any convicted ticket in passed 5 years?  You need to ask your insurance company fax your temporary liability card to your dealer.  Are you coming from B.C.?  In British Columbia, the insurance is governed by government; therefore, insurance come first, then apply car licence plate.  In Ontario, it is your responsibility to get your car covered.  Dealer need to check your insurance liability card, then give your key.  However, they may not ask for your insurance.  It is illegal in driving a car without insurance.  If police caught you driving without insurance, the consequence is that fund, demerit points, and increased insurance premium.
