The University of Western Ontario Faculty Association has formally requested Western\'s President to suspend shuttle service for students during the LTC strike.
5 z4 \- h1 h. } X2 ~, l- z0 z$ uThey\'re making the request in support of the London Transit Union which likened the shuttle service earlier this morning to \"union busting\".
$ U, P$ F, P7 z, J# y4 W- FThe Faculty Association is one of the University\'s largest unions and represents more than 1500 professors and other staff. ! W2 Z0 _/ Z3 M* o; j
It had earlier said its members would not cross picket lines if LTC union members decided to protest the shuttle service near campus -- a move which would have left classrooms and lecture halls virtually empty.
